Sangrur, May 20

A 60-year-old  resident of Mangwal village succumbed to his injuries from an ox attack, on Friday night.  Villages have demanded quick action to control stray cattle   in the area.

On May 14, he was repeatedly hit by a stray ox, which fled only after some villagers came to his rescue with sticks. He suffered fracture in his back and was admitted to the Sangrur civil hospital. Doctors discharged him on May 18, but he died yesterday. — TNS
