The Punjab government will arrange a special exam for the acid attack victim of Gurdaspur.  It was announced by Education Minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema here today.

The Punjab School Education Board will conduct the special exam for sportswoman Rajwinder Kaur after her recovery and the result will be declared with the rest of Class 12 students, Cheema said, adding that he has asked Gurdaspur Deputy Commissioner Dr Abhinav Trikha and SSP Gurpreet Singh Toor to arrest the culprits at the earliest.

Two unidentified youths on Wednesday threw acid on the sportswoman. The victim was returning home after her Class XII exam at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Kahnuwan, 16 km from Gurdaspur, when two youths, their faces covered, pounced on her, a few metres from her house, and threw acid on her.
