The SGPC has come out in protest against the demolition of ancient Sant Guru Ravidas temple in Delhi and sought Centre’s intervention to resolve the issue in harmonious environment.

SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal said hurting the religious sentiments of any community could not be justified. He also appealed to the state governments to take steps to pacify the tense situation that arose due to this act. — TNS
