Sangrur woman alleges rape, 2 relatives booked

SANGRUR: The Malerkotla police have registered a rape case against two persons, both relatives of a 22-year-old rape victim. The woman alleged that on October 29 last year, Sehzad, who is known to her father, came to her house when she was alone, raped her and clicked her photos.

The Malerkotla police have registered a rape case against  two persons, both relatives of a 22-year-old rape victim. 

The woman alleged that on October 29 last year, Sehzad, who is known to her father, came to her house when she was alone, raped her and clicked her photos. She alleged that the accused raped her many times later by blackmailing her. 

In January, the accused took her to his relatives’ house, where both Sehzad and Mohd Parvez raped her. The accused circulated her photos on a WhatsApp group. She informed her parents and they lodged a complaint. “We have booked Sehzad and Mohd Parvez and investigating the case,” said Rajesh Snehi, SHO. — TNS
