Adviser BIS Chahal and media adviser Raveen Thukral will draw a salary of Rs 1.50 lakh per month, again from the day of their appointment. Lt Gen TS Shergill, a senior adviser, will get a salary equivalent to the last pay drawn by him while in service.

With OSDs Sandeep Sandhu, Honey Sekhon, Ankit Bansal, Jagdeep Singh, Gurpreet Singh Dhesi, Sandeep Brar and Damanjit Mohi drawing Rs 35,000 per month, sources said the salary bill of these advisers and OSDs would go up to Rs 15.90 lakh per month. Also, some  appointees (mainly advisers) will get TA and DA, which would entail an additional expense of Rs 2.50 lakh.

The government  will on an average spend Rs 30 lakh per month on these political appointees, taking into account the secretarial staff, official vehicle and driver provided to each of them.
