Terming the protests announced by SAD a political stunt, AAP today said it was during the Akali rule that power companies started fleecing the consumers.

“The SAD is to be blamed for expensive power in the state,” said Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema. He said Sukhbir Badal owed an explanation to the people that why his government signed agreements with private thermal plants and gave rise to power mafia.
