Four robbers looted Rs 45,000 at gunpoint from a filing station near Dohak village here in broad daylight on Monday.

The robbers came in a car and had their faces covered with cloth. They even thrashed two employees of the filling station injuring one of them. He has been admitted to a hospital in Faridkot.

Two robbers alighted from the car, while two kept sitting inside. One of them was holding a pistol and the other was carrying a baseball bat, filling station employees told the police. Before fleeing, the robbers tried to damage the CCTV cameras. However, one of the CCTV cameras kept working and captured the pictures of the robbers.

After the incident, villagers gathered at the spot and called the police. A police party reached the spot and started investigation. Some robbers had looted about Rs 50,000 from the same filling station about a year ago. The police were still clueless about that incident.
