Chandigarh, August 31

The chasm between the state AAP unit and Sunam MLA Aman Arora seems to be getting wider.

Two days after Arora did not participate in the party meeting chaired by party convener Bhagwant Mann, he has issued a contrary statement on sacrilege issue to the one issued by his party yesterday the probe in sacrilege cases.

In a statement issued here, Arora said he objected to and ridiculed Leader of Opposition Harpal Cheema for his statement that AAP had lost all hopes to get justice in Bargari and Behbal Kalan cases.

Arora said the SAD-BJP and the Congress had been working only to draw political mileage from such sensitive issue.

“This does not mean that AAP despite being principal opposition party in the state should leave all hopes to get justice for the people of the state. Such a negative statement has hurt me,” he said.

For the past two months, the differences between Arora and party leaders have been out in the open.
