Result withheld in one ward each of Dharamkot and Amloh; Repoll to be held in Ward No. 37 of Patiala Municipal Corporation on Tuesday owing to EVM snag; AAP won just one ward across the state -- in Bholath Nagar Panchayat (Kapurthala) 


At 62% turnout, Patiala tops among MCs

  • Over 62 per cent polling was recorded in the Patiala Municipal Corporation elections, followed by Jalandhar (over 57 per cent) and Amritsar (51 per cent)
  • Among the other local bodies, Cheema Nagar Panchayat (Sangrur) recorded the highest turnout of 92 per cent, followed by Ghagga (Patiala) and Moonak (Sangrur) – both 90 per cent – and Bariwala (Muktsar) at 89 per cent
