Relief to Awas Yojna beneficiaries

HANDIGARH: Giving relief to the beneficiaries of the Shehri Awaas Yojna, Punjab Local Government Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu today decided to let those not having permanent residence proof submit a copy of tax assessment or electricity, water or sewerage bill as the residence proof.

Giving relief to the beneficiaries of the Shehri Awaas Yojna, Punjab Local Government Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu today decided to let those not having permanent residence proof submit a copy of tax assessment or electricity, water or sewerage bill as the residence proof.

He said those beneficiaries who lived in ‘kuchcha houses’ in the Lal Dora area and who didn’t have any proof of permanent residence, could now produce a copy of tax assessment and in case this was not available, a copy of electricity, sewerage or water bills after verification by the councillor could be submitted to avail the benefits of the scheme. — TNS
