Amritsar: Repolling at booth number 123 of the Rajasansi Assembly segment concluded peacefully on Wednesday with 72.03 per cent electorates turning out to cast vote.

The Election Commission (ECI) had ordered repolling at the booth at Sahura village in the border belt following negligence on part of officials on May 19.

District Electoral Officer Shivdular Singh had acted after CCTV cameras at the booth revealed that more than one person were seen standing in the voting area.

The DEO said the process was completed peacefully and the votes would be counted on Thursday. tns
