Raids on to nab Sangrur traders

A VB team from Mohali on Wednesday conducted raids at the residences of Sangrur-based traders — Mittals — in Punia Colony for their arrest in connection with the FIR registered in the stationery scam on June 7 in Mohali. However, the team returned empty-handed as the accused were not at home. The VB had registered a case against then Kharar BDPO Jatinder Singh Dhillon, Punit Mittal, Rajinderpal Mittal and Jeetpal Mittal, partners in private firm JR Printers, and Kharar Block Samiti chairman Resham Singh for embezzlement of funds. — TNS
