PATIALA: Punjab Education Department has issued an order for a change in school timing in the state for winter.

Punjab Education Department has issued an order for a change in school timing in the state for winter.

A letter from the department to district officials said that school hours for primary classes would be from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm, and for middle, high school and senior secondary schools until 2.50 pm. These new school hours are applicable only for the month of October, and would be effective October 1.

From November 1, 2019, to February 28, 2020, school hours will be from 9 am to 3 pm for primary classes and until 3.20 pm for middle, high and senior secondary schools.
