PSPCL workers protest transfer of employee

Hundreds of members of the Technical Services Union under the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), who reached Abohar from different areas, organised a rally at Nehru Park here on Tuesday. 

They later carried out a march to protest against the transfer of union leader Nirmal Singh to Amritsar and over the alleged anti-employee policies of the Punjab Government.

The protesters were demanding cancellation of the transfer order, reinstatement of suspended employees and new recruitments in the department.  — OC
