Two days after a video of Akali leader Virsa Singh Valtoha, allegedly using abusive words against Congress leaders while threatening Tarn Taran DC, went viral, Congress MLAs from the border district, including DCC president and Khemkaran MLA Sukhpal Singh Bhullar, Harminder Gill, Ramanjit Singh Sikki and Dr Dharampal Agnihotri, today urged Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to probe all allegations against Valtoha, including his alleged involvement in drug trade.

Condemning the Akali leader, the Congress MLAs said it appeared that Voltoha was still in a hangover of 10 years of Akali high-handedness. “He should realise that the regime has changed and it is the rule of law that is now prevailing in the state, not the ‘jungle raj’ of the Akali dispensation of which he was a part,” they added.

It is learnt that the legislators have already shown the video to the CM.

Referring to Valtoha’s threats about maintaining ‘diaries’ of officers, the Congress MLAs said it was his (Valtoha’s) diaries that would be opened and he would be exposed soon.
