Patiala, April 24

Congress Patiala candidate Preneet Kaur today spent over an hour meeting party workers who had thronged her New Moti Bagh Palace with their complaints and grievances, following an invite by her.

Two days before filing her nomination papers from the Patiala seat, Preneet met party workers “without her coterie”.

Hundreds of party workers had reached the palace with their pending works and complaints, which Preneet handed over to her staff reminding them to act on them as soon as the election code of conduct was over.

While a few workers had pending works in the Power Department, other had applications pertaining to police, rural development, irrigation department, tehsils and even DC office. She accepted their complaint applications and assured to redress

their grievances soon. Preneet started her electoral visits to Patiala villages as early as February.

She said, “Ever since Capt Amarinder took over as the Chief Minister in 2017, he ensured that the government’s entire focus and attention is towards development and not fixing people in false cases.” — TNS
