Pesticide scam accused joins probe

The main accused in the infamous Moga pesticide scam, Gurwinder Singh, proprietor, Nambardar Kheti Store, Badduwal, today joined the investigation with the local police and officials of the Agriculture Department.

The pesticide scam was unearthed by the state agriculture department. Few days back, Additional District and Sessions Judge Sonia Kinra granted interim bail to Gurwinder and asked him to join the investigations as and when required by the local police.

An FIR was registered against him on April 10 after spurious pesticide bottles were recovered by the agriculture department from him.
