Sangrur, April 26
Sangrur will soon have a Passport Seva Kendra (centre) as local MP Bhagwant Mann on Thursday finalised the space for it in the local post office. Mann would pay from his MP funds for the construction of the centre.
“I have been making repeated rounds of the External Affairs Ministry and meeting senior officers for the past two years. Three months ago, they sanctioned a centre for Sangrur, but the post office staff refused to give space in the local office last month,” said Mann after inspecting the local post office on the court road.
Some officers at the post office said they did not have the required space for the centre, but Mann convinced them. — TNS
