Two bike-borne persons threw pages of Guru Granth Sahib in a drain at Sher Singh Colony in the Mithu Basti area here today. The police have booked unidentified persons under Sections 295 and 34 of the IPC.

A local labourer, Devinder, who was doing pipe-laying work in the area, saw the duo coming towards the drain from the Gakhlan bridge and throwing pages in the drain.
