Jalandhar, December 18

Congress leader Kamal Nath's selection as MP Chief Minister has  left Punjabi diaspora “indignant”.

They have sought stern action against Congress leaders Kamal Nath, Jagdish Tytler and actor Amitabh Bachhan for allegedly instigating genocidal violence in 1984.

The Sikh Coordination Committee East Coast (SCCEC) and the World Sikh Organisation said Nath had been accused of leading a mob that burned a number of Sikhs in 1984 and he was also identified by numerous witnesses.

"It took 34 years to get one leader convicted  while many others like Jagdish Tytler, Kamal Nath and Amitabh Bachhan and are still enjoying privileged positions in society," alleged the New York-based SCCEC Coordinator Himmat Singh. — TNS
