The Vidhan Sabha will hold a special one-day session to commemorate the 70th anniversary of adoption of the Constitution on Tuesday.

CM Capt Amarinder Singh, who is returning from his foreign tour tonight, is expected to attend the session. A communication in this regard has been received by state from the Centrea a few days ago.

The session would see debates on the Preamble, the duties enshrined in the Constitution and principles of architect of the Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar.

It is for the first time in recent years that a special session of the state legislature has been convened to mark Constitution Day. The day is being commemorated by Vidhan Sabhas across the country. — TNS
