Alleging delay in the registration of FIR against an arhtiya for fraud and attacking the family of a farmer from Ballran village, farmers have started a protest in front of the Moonak police station.

“First an arhtiya from Moonak fraudulently got transferred one acre under his name from farmer Gobind Singh of Ballran village and later attacked the farmer and his family last month. But the police have not registered any FIR as yet. Our protest will continue till the registration of FIR against the arhtiya and his arrest,” said Dharminder Pashore, BKU Ugrahan Lehra block president. 

Farmers raised slogans against the state government and the police for allegedly delaying the registration of the FIR. — TNS
