Bathinda, July 22

Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Monday said after farmers, now even highly educated youth were getting disillusioned and committing suicide as the Congress government failed to provide them jobs. She cited the case of Jagsir Singh of Mansa district who took his life after failing to get the promised job.

Harsimrat said this was the second such suicide in her constituency after the death of 23-year-old Harmandeep of Teona Pujaria village who gave up on life after failing in getting employment despite being a postgraduate. Harsimrat alleged that the Congress government was directly responsible for the death of Jagsir. — TNS
