Protest against delay in issuing disability certificates

Activists of the Handicapped Union staged a protest outside the main gate of the Civil Hospital, Fazilka, in favour of their demands. They also closed the main gate causing inconvenience to patients.

Puran Singh of the union said the physically challenged had been facing inconvenience as they had to visit the hospital several times to get disability certificates. They have demanded to fix two days a week to issue the certificates. They have also demanded to organise camps in villages to issue on-the-spot certificates to prevent any inconvenience to physically challenged people. The police had to be called to disburse the protesters.
