Three of family killed in accident

A woman, her son and grandson were killed as the Swift Dzire car in which they were travelling collided with a bus in Sriganganagar on Tuesday.

Satya Devi Chawla (60), her son Simar Gopal, alias Vicky, and grandson Saksham (12) were going to Sriganganagar from Padampur. Vicky was driving the car. A Rajasthan Roadways bus that was on Sriganganagar-Padampur route collided head-on with the Swift Dzire car near Tatarsar village. All three occupants of the car were killed, while no passenger in the bus was hurt.

Chunawadh police station incharge Parmeshwer Suthar said the police and villagers battled to drag out the victims who got trapped under the bus. A JCB machine was arranged to restore traffic that was disrupted due to the mishap.

In another incident, a girl, Khushi (6), was run over by a state-owned bus near Chak 4-O village on Monday evening.
