Anandpur Sahib: The Anandpur Sahib parliamentary constituency witnessed a decline in polling as 64.05% exercised their franchise. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the polling percentage was 69.81%. The maximum dip in polling was witnessed in three adjoining Assembly segments of Kharar, Chamkaur Sahib and Ropar, where nearly 9% lesser voter turnout was recorded as compared to the last time. In Kharar, where 70.57% polling was registered in 2014, this time 61.4% voters cast their vote. Similarly, at Chamkaur Sahib and Ropar, 64.36% and 62.86% polled their votes against 73.67% and 70.05%, respectively. In Mohali, the total percentage was reduced to 60.68% from 67.88% last time. TNS
