Sangrur, April 12

The controversy over utilisation of funds received during the last elections by the AAP in Punjab refuses to die down. After Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA) Sangrur candidate Jassi Jasraj, former state general secretary of the party Dr Amandeep Gosal, who resigned from the AAP last week, has alleged that Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann has misappropriated crores received from NRIs and others.

Gosal has announced to launch a campaign on the social media next week, exposing the “internal politics of AAP and misappropriation of funds”.

“I have collected details from various volunteers, NRIs and disgruntled leaders who joined the Punjabi Ekta Party. All alleged that Mann received crores as funds. They are now feeling cheated as except fooling voters and backstabbing sincere leaders, Mann has done nothing,” alleged Gosal, former star campaigner of the party.

Gosal said she had joined the Anna Hazare movement in 2012 and later joined AAP during its foundation.

“I will share all evidence to prove my allegations against Mann,” said Gosal.

Mann said all allegations were politically motivated. “I have all details of utilisation of funds received during elections and as MP. I have not received the resignation of Gosal as yet,” said Mann.
