Bathinda, March 26

Takht Sri Damdama Sahib parallel jathedar Baljit Singh Daduwal has hit out against Akal Takht acting parallel jathedar Dhian Singh Mand, blaming the latter for frittering the massive support they had garnered during the Bargari Insaf Morcha, while also targeting him for their Lok Sabha poll plan going awry.

Talking to The Tribune, Daduwal said, “Mand did not bother to take all Panthic groups into confidence before calling off the Bargari protest.” He said the morcha would have continued and all Panthic groups supporting it might have contested the elections under the banner of Bargari Insaf Morcha.

On the other hand, Mand rubbished the allegations levelled by Daduwal, stating that being the acting parallel jathedar of Akal Takht he had the power to take such decisions. He lashed out at Daduwal for stating that their poll plan had fizzled out while stating that it was too premature to jump to a conclusion.

Mand said they still had ample time to get their act together ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. He said they were closely watching the poll scenario and would review their strategy in the coming days. He said they would either field their candidates or support winnable candidates of parties other then those of the SAD or Congress.
