Doda’s kin is Istri Akali Dal adviser

Bibi Jagir Kaur, president of the Istri Akali Dal, has appointed Dr Suhani Doda as state adviser of the wing. Her father Dr Lal Chand Thukral has served as Senior Medical Officer at the Civil Hospital here. SAD Abohar circle president Suresh Satija welcomed the appointment. “This will strengthen the women wing,” he said.

Suhani is the wife of Gagan Doda, who is the son of liquor baron Shiv Lal Doda. Gagan is on the board of directors of the firms owned by his father in liquor and real estate business. Doda and his nephew Amit are to be produced in the District Court, Fazilka, on March 24 to record their statements in the Bhim Tank murder case.

Suhani was present when Shiv Lal Doda on January 14, 2017, filed his nomination papers from the Abohar constituency as an Independent candidate.
