To take on SAD patron Parkash Singh Badal over the sacrilege issue on his home turf, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh will address a rally at Killianwali in Lambi on October 7.

A party delegation on Sunday visited the Killianwali grain market for the proposed rally. The delegation consisted of Cabinet ministers Manpreet Singh Badal, Gurpreet Singh Kangar and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, and MLAAmrinder Singh Raja Warring and political secretary to CM Capt Sandeep Sandhu. They appealed to the party workers in Gidderbaha to come to the rally in large numbers.

Meanwhile, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has also decided to hold a counter rally in the Chief Minister's hometown, Patiala, on October 7. The party said it would "expose the poor governance by the Congress and its failure to fulfil poll promises" in the CM's bastion.
