Mystery shrouds death of woman doctor; police start probe

BARNALA: A 33-year-old woman doctor, posted at Barnala Air Force station, died under mysterious circumstances after she reportedly fell from the fourth floor of a building on Kacha College Road of Barnala city. Police have started investigations.

A 33-year-old woman doctor, posted at Barnala Air Force station, died under mysterious circumstances after she reportedly fell from the fourth floor of a building on Kacha College Road of Barnala city. Police have started investigations.

"The deceased, Dr  Charu Singh, was posted at Air force station, Barnala, while her husband Dr Navdeep Singh in Barnala civil hospital.  We are conducting investigations to ascertain whether it was a suicide or accident," DSP Rajesh Chibber said.

Some locals, on the condition of anonymity, said the she jumped from 4th floor and died immediately after hitting the ground.

"We are waiting for her parents, who are coming from New Delhi and would take legal action after recording their statement.  The post-mortem would be conducted in Barnala civil hospital," the DSP added.
