Moga gangster gets married in Nabha jail

MOGA: Gangster Mandeep Singh Dhroo, hailing from Daudhar village in Moga, has solemnised marriage with his fiancé on the premises of the high-security Nabha jail on Wednesday.

Gangster Mandeep Singh Dhroo, hailing from Daudhar village in Moga, has solemnised marriage with his fiancé on the premises of the high-security Nabha jail on Wednesday.

Unlike the prevailing social customs, the bride along with her parents and relatives went to the jail premises and solemnised the marriage as per the religious customs in a gurdwara located on the jail premises. The groom (gangster) has been in the jail for the past 10 years after being convicted in a murder case.

Mandeep’s mother Rachpal Kaur also came to the jail along with her relatives and other family members to attend the ceremony. The civil and police administration in Nabha had made elaborate security arrangements. Local DSP Varinderjit Singh Thind supervised the arrangements outside the jail.
