Miscreants damage accused’s house

Abohar, January 15

The city police today registered a case against unidentified persons under Section 436 of the IPC after a woman alleged that someone damaged her house in Guru Kripa Colony here when she was in judicial custody.

Complainant Jasbir Kaur alias Babli alias Jyoti was arrested along with two other women and three men under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act at her rented house in a police raid on January 3. She was remanded in judicial custody on January 5.

She alleged that on the same day someone set a part of her house on fire causing a lot of damage. ASI Krishan Lal has been told to investigate.
