Man held with Rs 30 lakh sans papers

The Phillaur police, headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Davinder Singh Attri, nabbed an Amritsar resident and recovered cash worth Rs 30 lakh on Monday evening.

DSP Attri said the accused was carrying cash without any papers. He was identified as Amandeep. He was arrested at a checkpoint set up by the police near the Sutlej bridge when he was going towards Amritsar in a bus. The DSP said the seizure details had been sent to the Enforcement Directorate and IT Department for further investigations.
