The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday dismissed anticipatory bail plea filed by SAD leader Dyal Singh Kolianwali in a corruption case.

A case was registered by the Flying Squad-I, Vigilance Bureau, against Kolianwali nearly a month back under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. He was earlier Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board member and chairman of Punjab Agro Industries Ltd.

Taking up the petition, Justice Inderjit Singh, on the previous date of hearing, directed: “Meanwhile, in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal bonds and surety to the satisfaction of arresting/investigating officer.” The Bench also directed the petitioner to join the investigation as and when called.
