Kolianwali gets bail as VB fails to file challan

MUKTSAR: Senior Akali leader Dyal Singh Kolianwali, who had surrendered on December 14 in a disproportionate assets case, today got bail from the Additional District and Sessions Court, Mohali.

Senior Akali leader Dyal Singh Kolianwali, who had surrendered on December 14 in a disproportionate assets case, today got bail from the Additional District and Sessions Court, Mohali.

He was lodged in Nabha jail. Speaking over the phone, his counsel Babu Singh Sidhu from Muktsar, said, “As the vigilance failed to file a challan in the court within 60 days after Kolianwali surrendered, the court granted him bail. He was today taken to a hospital in Ludhiana for a medical check-up and once he returns to the jail, we will furnish his bail orders, following which he will be released.”
