Congress spokesperson Sukhpal Khaira today asked the SGPC and Education Minister-cum-spokesman for the Shiromani Akali Dal to prove that the relics of the 10th Sikh Guru with Pir Budhu Shah’s descendants were fake.

Khaira has furnished video and photographic evidence that the relics of the 10th Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, were with the descendents of Pir Budhu Shah for the past eight generations. He has claimed that the relics being displayed by the government and the SGPC across the state in a bus were fake.

He said SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar and the state government were not even ready to discuss the veracity of the relics. “They are misleading the public to play with their religious emotions. I have released a video forwarded to me by Sayed Naeem Haider, the eighth generation descendent of Pir Budhu Shah, currently living in Los Angeles, California, but the government is ignoring it.”
