Fazilka, June 4

BJP activists led by Abohar MLA Arun Narang took out a procession in the town bazaar to protest against lack of basic facilities in the town.

They burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh in the main market. Narang while addressing the workers accused the state government of depriving Abohar residents of basic amenities like potable water, sewerage and electric supply.

He warned the Powercom officials to amend their attitude otherwise they would be forced to launch an agitation against them.

He urged the officials to expedite the Pradhan Mantri Amrut Yojna to improve the infrastructure ahead of rains.

BJP district president Vishnu Bhagwan Delu, state vice-president Dhanpat Siag, and general secretary Ravi Setia alleged that the state government was meting out step-motherly treatment to Abohar residents for the last more than a year.
