Just before the state-level mega employment event in which the Chief Minister will hand over job appointment letters to the youth, the government has asked the Health Department to send those employees to the venue in Ludhiana who are already working with the department for several months.

A government message to the Director, Health Services, said that over 9,000 recruitments, regular and on contract, have been done since September 2017. “The government desires that the fresh recruits of your department should participate in the state level job function,” it said. The health department was also asked to depute a nodal officer for coordination.

Health Services Director Dr Jaspal Kaur further circulated the message among all civil surgeons and medical superintendents of the department.

Technical Education Director Parveen Thind, who has been coordinating with the health department, said they had asked the freshly recruited employees to help in the arrangement. When asked why only freshly recruited employees were chosen, he disconnected the call.

Earlier, Minister for Technical Education Charanjit Singh Channi had announced that CM Captain Amarinder Singh would hand over appointment letters to the youth on March 11 during a state-level mega event at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. The higher education and medical education departments were involved in job fairs besides the technical education department.
