A special court in Sriganganagar has sentenced four persons to 20 years of imprisonment and directed them to pay a fine of Rs 10,000 each for sexually exploiting a minor for 18 months.

A man had lodged an FIR on April 21, 2015, alleging that Veena Meghwal took his 14-year-old niece to a place where Prem Parkash Doodi, Vijay Bhadoo and Madan Lal Jat were present. They served her food laced with sedatives and raped her. They also took her objectionable pictures and threatened her of dire consequences if she informed anyone. Later, Veena forced the victim to accompany her to the same place again, threatening that the youths would make her obscene pictures viral if she refused.

After 18 months, when her pictures went viral, the victim narrated the incident to her parents. The police got the pictures examined when the accused claimed that they had been morphed to implicate them. The accused approached the court for bail, but it was denied.
