Inderpreet, a former vice-president of the CKD Charitable Society, asked his driver Raj Kumar to take him to a clinic on Ajnala road. On reaching there, he found the doctor absent. He returned to his Toyota Fortuner. Minutes later, he shot himself in the head. He was taken to a nearby hospital by his driver where doctors declared him “brought dead.”

The deceased’s father was booked by the local police on charges of outraging the modesty of a principal of a school run by the CKD Charitable Society after a ‘sleaze’ video went viral on the social media. Inderpreet was charged with criminal intimidation after the principal complained she had been threatened by him over the phone.

Granted interim bail by a local court, Inderpreet was asked to join police investigations. He had appeared before a police team on Tuesday which questioned him about the whereabouts of his father wanted in the sexual harassment case.

A friend of the Chadhas claimed Inderpreet had asked his father to resign from the CKD after the sleaze video went viral. “Besides being in debt, he was under pressure owing to a family feud. That is why he mostly stayed in Chandigarh,” he said.
