Sultanpur Lodhi, November 8

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar today said leaders should refrain from politicising the issue of the Kartarpur corridor.

The minister was in the holy town to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Ber Sahib and inaugurate an exhibition organised by his ministry on the occasion of the 550th Parkash Purb.

Reacting to the credit war between the Centre and state and with Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh claim that the corridor posed ISI threat, he said, “I think this is not the time to politicise everything. We need to learn from Guru Nanak. Mann ko vishal karo (Have a larger heart).”

Harsimrat evades query

As Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal accompanied Prakash Javadekar, she evaded a question on the Punjab Assembly passing a resolution over requesting Akal Takht Jathedar and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for allowing Sikh women to perform kirtan at the Golden Temple. She chose not to reply despite the fact that three reporters repeatedly asked her the same question.
