Doc among 4 held for sex determination test

Abohar, October 21

The Rajasthan PCPNDT Cell, in a decoy operation at Kot-ise-Khan in Moga, arrested four persons for carrying out a gender determination test.

Dr Raman Aggarwal, who runs Divine Care Hospital in the town, his assistant Satpal Singh, and agents Jagdish Sharma and Rajpal Kaur were on Saturday remanded in judicial custody till November 2.

Preliminary investigation indicated that Lalgarh Jattan resident Jagdish Sharma had offered the service of gender determination to a women in Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh through Bhucho Mandi (Bathinda) resident Rajpal Kaur. — OC
