Leader of Opposition HS Phoolka today said AAP would force CM Capt Amarinder Singh to disclose names of all Akali leaders, who have business interests in sand mining in the state.

The CM said in the House on Friday that he had a list of those Akalis, who were in the business of sand mining, and had threatened to disclose their names if they continued to create ruckus in the Assembly. After this threat, Akalis sat on their seats.

“This shows that Capt Amarinder knows the names of those running the sand mafia. He neither wants to take action nor share information with members in the Vidhan Sabha. It is an undemocratic method of concealing crucial information from the public and getting political gains,” Phoolka said.

State AAP co-convener Aman Arora appealed to the CM to bring to book SAD-BJP leaders involved in illegal sand mining business.

The Leader of Opposition said, “The Chief Minister has the proof against SAD-BJP leaders. Instead of bringing them to book, he is using the documents to arm-twist SAD-BJP legislators into acquiescing to misdeeds of the government.”

Govt shielding Majithia: Phoolka

Leader of Opposition HS Phoolka said there was sufficient proof that the SAD and Congress were playing a friendly match in the House. On a company related to former minister Bikram Singh Majithia getting favours during allocation of power tenders for cooperative sugar mills, Phoolka questioned why the Congress government was shielding Majithia.
