Fazilka, October 15

Addressing six public meetings in Jalalabad in favour of SAD candidate Raj Singh Dibbipura, party president Sukhbir Badal alleged that the Congress government had discriminated against each and every section of society and burdened them with inflated power bills.

“This is the right time to give a jolt to the Congress to force it to fulfil the promises it had made,” he added.

Lashing out at Congress candidate Raminder Awla, Sukhbir claimed that he was an outsider who did not even belong to the neighbouring constituency of Guruharsahai, but was based in Uttar Pradesh. He claimed that the real-time development took place in Jalalabad during the previous two terms of the SAD-BJP government. “Development works have been stopped and benefits, like old-age pension and Shagun schemes, have been denied to several people, he said. — OC
