Chandigarh, August 8

The SAD has alleged that Congress legislators were making a mockery of law by attempting to influence the probe into the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.

In a statement here, former minister Maheshinder Singh Grewal said Congress legislators were pressuring the government to conduct the probe into the sacrilege incidents on political lines purely to fix their rivals. “It seems that the MLAs are desperate to divert attention from their own failures and only interested in milking political mileage from this issue as was done by the Congress earlier,” he added. — TNS
