Cong MLA demands fair investigation

Denying involvement in the illegal sand mining in Ghanaur, Congress MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur has demanded a transparent probe into the matter.

He said he support inquiry officers in their probe.

General Manager, Mining, TS Sekhon was allegedly beaten up, held captive and attacked inside a police station in Ghanaur three days ago after he tried to stop a truck allegedly involved in illegal mining. He alleged illegal mining was done at the behest of Jalalpur.

Jalalpur said he would demand an independent committee with SAD chief Sukhbir Badal at its chairman. — TNS
