For the Bathinda seat, where Manpreet Badal is in the race, Cabinet minister Brahm Mohindra, a prominent Hindu leader, is seeking ticket for his son Mohit Mohindra. The latter had applied under the youth quota for Bathinda.

A similar situation has emerged in Ferozepur where Dr Mohindra Rindwa, Hans Raj Joshan and Anish Sidana are seeking the ticket for either a local Backward Class leader or a Hindu face.

For Anandpur Sahib, leaders representing the Ramgarhia, Gujjar and Saini communities have joined hands, seeking candidate from among the communities.
