LUDHIANA:The Congress today expelled 28 rebels who are contesting the February 24 MC elections as Independents after failing to get the party ticket.

The Congress today expelled 28 rebels who are contesting the February 24 MC elections as Independents after failing to get the party ticket. District Congress Committee president Gurpreet Singh Gogi said the party had zero intolerance towards leaders switching loyalties for vested interests. 

Those expelled are: Davinder Handa, Jasdeep Kouke, PD Yadav, Parminder Singh Pappu, Ashu Ranna, Nareena Miglani, Nek Chand, Ashwani Aggarwal, Mehru, Paramjeet Singh, Hardeep Singh, Lakhvir Singh, Ram Chander, Mehtabh Singh, Sona Rani, Amritpal Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Mandeep Kaur, Jasbir Singh, Poonam, Baljinder Singh, Ruchi, Monika, Gurpreet Kaur, Sushma Puri, Parvesh Tikka, Suman and Anita Sharma. — TNS
