The car of a local drug store owner was stolen at gunpoint by three men in Mullanpur Dakha in Ludhiana district on Tuesday night.

The incident took place at around 11:30 pm, outside a marriage palace on the Ludhiana-Mullanpur highway where the victim, Ravi, had gone to attend the wedding of cabinet minister BB Ashu’s nephew.

“Yesterday at around 11.30 pm after attending the wedding, I walked towards my Breeza car parked opposite the marriage palace. The moment I opened the car and sat inside, three masked men cornered me and forcibly threw me out of the car and drove away,” said Ravi.

Ravi said he couldn’t see the vehicle the carjackers had come in as he had panicked. He claims to have immediately informed the police who reached the spot and began probing the incident.

Police checked several CCTV cameras but so far have failed to get any clue about the robbers.
